| | about the collection
Inspired by de-commissioned, mid-20th century industrial textile machinery, SETSQUARES MACHINA explore the visual language of these analogue machines, a complex and fascinating assembly of gears, cogs, cables, conduit and steel casings designed to facilitate one sole function.
The relief sculptures in this collection interpret the visual essence of the machinery in abstract compositions and, as with all SETSQUARES collections, are conceived to work together in multiple orientations.
There are 22 different designs allowing for endless variation when individual tiles are combined. Any number can be commissioned to create wall sculptures of varying sizes.

They can either be bonded straight to a wall or supplied with a wire hanging system. Depending on the location, plaster or GRC (lightweight concrete) can be specified.

The plaster maquettes illustrated are 15cms (6”) square. Larger versions could be created for bespoke commissions.
